Omoto (Rohdea japonica) 'Shishi no Hana'

"Shishi" refers to the variety with curly leaves, and "hana" means "flower." This cultivar is indeed the "flower" of the shishi variety, with its stunningly beautiful snow-white yahazu-torafu, a low kouryu (lengthwise ridge) striking through it with uniquely wavy edges.
To prevent it from turning green, give it plenty of direct sunlight from spring through early summer. How do you give omoto direct sunlight without burning the leaves? Expose them to the morning sunlight. You can also give this cultivar plenty of fertilizer.
