Omoto (Rohdea japonica) 'Shunsetsu'
Product Code: 486
A shimakou shishi (possessing curly leaves, stripes, and lengthwise ridges) with yahazu fu (herringbone variegation). Its voluminous, thick leaves with matte surface will develop gashiryuu (multiple lengthwise ridges). Despite their thickness, the leaves curl well.
Weak light leads to less curliness and less of the herringbone variegation. But they will come back if you give the plant plenty of light next year.
It is sturdy and propagates well.
Nursery: Nagano Sankouen
(The plant[s] will be shipped “bare-rooted,” without soil or pot, with the roots wrapped in sphagnum moss. If you are participating in the U.S. Group Order, you don’t need to pay for the phytosanitary certificate.)
