'Ryouzan'

A rasha cultivar that develops thick, triangular leaves that turn downward, with noshiha (both sides folded in) and sogashiryu (lengthwise ridges all over the leaves).

This particular plant has already developed all the inherent gei (mutations) despite its small size. If you take good care of it, it may grow to be a little larger. Since it is fully grown, it is ready for imogiri (root division) in the spring.

The pot is about 3.5 inches in diameter.

Nursery: Tatetsuen
