'Shikunshi'

Product Code: 087E

One of the highest-grade shishi varieties. Along with 'Kairyujishi,' it is the driving force of the recent shishi boom (especially in China). It manifests biri (the edges of the kouryu [lengthwise ridges] and the leaves turning wavy), and the leaves with kakumaki curls (turning abruptly in an angular way) taper off to a sharp point.

As is the case with 'Kairyujishi,' if this particular plant, which already shows fukurin (variegation around the edge), develops more stripes, its value will jump up.

Give it plenty of light and a modest amount of fertilizer.
