"Izumo" is the old name of Shimane Prefecture, but this small rasha variety was actually created by an omoto master in Kumamoto, who also created such masterpieces as 'Souten' and 'Manjuhou.' As is often the case with small rasha varieties, this one is very popular.

The outer pot is about 4.5 inches tall and its diameter is about 4.3 inches.
