Omoto (Rohdea japonica) 'Kahou' [Rasha]

A large rasha variety (not to be confused with the oha variety of the same name). For the first two years or so, its leaves are rather thin, but when it starts manifesting hagei (formal mutations) such as suzumushiken (needle-like projection at the tip of a leaf), honken (sword-like leaves), kouryu (lengthwise ridges), and gashiryu (multiple lengthwise ridges), in a manner no less impressive than 'Shinseiden' does, the leaf thickness will increase.
