The rasha of all rashas. It was named after two men who initially shared its ownership, but you couldn't think of any name that would represent it better than "riki" (power) and "wa" (harmony) combined.

The extraordinarily thick leaves that are wide and round at the tip, with deeply carved kouryu (lengthwise ridge) and gashiryu (multiple lengthwise ridges) among other gei (mutations), typify this ever popular cultivar.

Picture 3 is of a typical grown plant. The amazing transformation from "baby leaves" to "grown-up leaves" usually takes place in the third year.

This particular plant has "complete" fukurin (variegation around the edges). The reason why whether the fukurin is complete or not means a lot is because fukurin will appear on ALL edges, not just on the periphery of the leaves but also on the edges of kouryu (lengthwise ridges) and noshiha (leaves with both sides folded in). It is an important factor to have a dominantly white plant like that in Picture 3.
