Omoto (Rohdea japonica) 'Otafuku no Zu'

'Otafuku no Zu' (a registered cultivar on its own) is 'Otafuku' that has developed zu (irregular white variegation). This particular plant, however, may be losing zu (which can happen), so it is priced accordingly. It is "twins," at least, so it can be divided into two plants in the future.

'Otafuku' is one of the best-known maruba (round-leafed) rasha varieties. It will not manifest any strong hagei (formal mutation), except for noshiha (leaves with both sides folded in) and occasional gashiryu (multiple lengthwise ridges), but deep green surrounded by white fukurin (variegation around the edges) emits graceful beauty.

It is very sturdy and, for that reason, very popular among beginners.
