Omoto (Rohdea japonica) 'Kenmai'

A medium-sized rasha variety that manifests sougashiryu (lengthwise ridges all over the leaves), tamaryu (ball-like protrusions), haneryu (protrusions like "dragons jumping up"), kenba (sword-like narrow leaves), and suzumushiken (sword-like protrusion starting from the middle of a leaf). As its name ("sword dance") suggests, it grows its leaves every which way and rarely settles into an orderly form.

A sturdy plant, it can be grown with plenty of light and fertilizer.

This particular plant has a baby shoot coming out, so it can be divided into two plants in the future.

Nursery: Nakamuraen
