紺性（＝緑色）の深い無地物で、タバコほどに太くなる軸が低い位置で分岐し、枝がやや屈折しながら低くとどまる様は、さながら地をはう龍を思わせます。最高級品種の1つです。

胞子嚢は金色に変化して、軸や枝と絶妙なコントラストをなします。古い軸が長持ちするため、オレンジ色になった軸が斑入りとまちがえられることがあります。

「青龍角」を含む太軸品種は、一般に弱めの光で育てます。

A non-variegated cultivar in deep green, with stems as thick as a cigarette branching out at a low point. The branches stay low in a zigzag, like a dragon crawling on the ground. The sporangia turn golden, contrasting nicely with the stems and the branches. This is one of the most highly valued cultivars.

The old stems that have lasted so long as to have turned orange are often mistaken for variegated.

It is a sturdy cultivar that doesn't propagate very well. All futojiku, or thick-stemmed cultivars, including this one, are vulnerable to strong light.
