名前に「縮緬」と入るものの、縮緬芸はさほど強くなく、「三光錦」に似て高い分岐点で枝分かれします。「三光錦」よりも採光が弱くても斑は白く現れ、軸にも斑が入ります。

強健でよく増えます。

Despite "chirimen" in its name, its chirimen gei (finely branched-out tips) is not very strong. It resembles 'Sankounishiki,' but, unlike 'Sankounishiki,' the white variegation comes out well even if light is a little weak, and it comes out on the stems too.

It is a sturdy cultivar and propagates well.
