長年にわたり「松葉蘭最高級品」の称号を与えられてきた逸品。緑色に出た芽が白銀、象牙色、白、黄、オレンジ、紅、と順次色を変えていき、一見して「富嶽ノ虹」とわかる美しさを誇ります。

昭和15年には3,500円の値がつきましたが、当時の平均的年収10年分でした。昭和40年時点で全国に3鉢しかないといわれており、現在でも稀少品であることに変わりはありません。

稀少な最高級品であるがゆえに、類似品も多く出回っているため、信頼できる生産者から購入することが肝要です。

The cultivar name means “rainbow on Mt. Fuji.” It has been the most highly valued cultivar for many years.

The new growths that come out in green turn silver, ivory white, white, yellow, orange, and red in sequence. You could not mistake it for any other cultivar.

Back in 1935, this cultivar was sold for 3,500 yen, or 10 years’ worth of the average yearly income at the time. Only three plants are known to have existed in 1965, and there are still very few in existence.

Because it is so rare and valuable, quite a few "fake" 'Fugaku no Niji" are in circulation. Be sure to buy one from a reliable nursery.
